Cavaliere-Euro SV218D 30" Stainless Steel Wall Mount Range Hood Review

I was very impressed with the quality of this product. It was very well packaged (like an Apple).The instructions were straight forward (assuming that one has a good grasp on basic construction and electrical principles). I had an unusually confined space to install this fan so the installation was "tricky."Please be careful of the hood fascia stainless-steel pieces - they have very sharp edges - wear gloves.BTW - the stainless-steel is the real thing - I needed to modify the fascia for my particular application - this required drilling holes in the stainless -- six drill-bits later, I barely dented my intended hole locations!I did most of the install by myself, but I needed another adult when installing the shroud and hood - it's somewhat heavy and awkward.

I have not really had the chance to use it much, but on the few occasions that I have, it is very quiet and can really move some air.In preparing a pot of spaghetti noodles, the second highest fan setting more than adequately exhausted all the steam.The display and it's associated buttons are pretty straight forward - as is always the case - one has to spend some time adjusting and remembering what does what.

The only improvement that I would recommend is the light operation.The two halogen lights dim - but to do so, one must hold the light power button for a while - then they dim all the way down and then back up - one stops at the setting of their preference.It would be nice if one could reference the brightness on the display - like with the fan setting (1 - 6).It would also be nice if the + and - button worked for this operation.

All in all - I would buy from this company again!High quality and very nice finish.

Premium Ceiling Shutter 29x34 - 4HA11 Review

This is a higher quality unit that the vent i replaced.I had to replace my pervious unit after the people who sealed my attic also sealed the vent shut.

The local utility contracts attic and house sealing as part of an energy conservation program, your tax dollars at work.I do not know what it will do for my heating bill but they did seal my attic vent closed.

I had to do a lot of adaptation to get a good mount but this may be becuase the people who installed the last one did such a bad job.I had to make a frame and secure it in place and then attach teh vent to the new frame.I made the frame from 1/8" by 1" lath.

The vent baldes are counterbalanced by a spring.The instruction specify that the spring be tensioned to just let the vent close.This is what ai did and in tests both sides closed relaibly.ON installation one sice stays open.Any touch will close them and if I push the vent open with a stick it always closes.Every time the fan wind opens it, it stays open.I suggest you be sure the closure is very secure.I only need it closed at the end of the season, so this issue a mild annoyanceOtherwise it's an excellent product.

This is a beautiful fan that moves a lot of air and produces a nice lighting effect.You'll probably love it, for about 3 years.At that point ours started making a scrape-scrape-scrape sound.Turns out the blade arms are drooping and bending under the weight of the blades and then they scrape the lower lighting assembly.I guess "hold up the blades" wasn't in the blade arm specification.I've attempted to find replacement parts on the web.Nothing.I've contacted Monte Carlo dealers.Nothing.I've tried to contact Monte Carlo directly.They don't even return my messages.This week the two 50watt miniature halogen bulbs the power the down-light burned out.There is no parts list or source in the manual.The website has a replacement bulb guide that is apparently either a brain-teaser or a cruel joke because it does not reference any fan model number, and if by some miracle you pick a bulb still no way to find one for sale.In short, I used to like my fan a lot, but now if I could hate people to death the entire Monte Carlo company would keel over immediately.

This is a good product that delivers what it promises.Even at lower speeds, there is considerable air circulation in a 200 sq. ft. room.

The fan is solidly constructed with quality metal parts throughout.It feels substantial.

Trouble started when it came to installing the blades. The compact nature of the fan requires you to mount the fan blades only after installing the main body to the ceiling.So have to be some sort of acrobat to get underneath it, hold the blade with the balancing weight so that the pre-drilled screw holes are aligned -- after sliding both peices in from the side, not the bottom.Then you have to hold the blade and weight steady in one hand while simultaneously screwing in the screw the driver/drill upside-down with the other hand.I had to go away from the directions and improvise.And you have to do this 3 times (one time for each blade)!

I've installed dozens of ceiling fans and this one was going swimmingly up until the blade installation.I would say on average, I can install a larger fan in about 30 minutes--45 minutes on the high side.This took about 2 hours after finally landing on an improvised routine to get the blades in.

Pinacle 36" High Capacity Air Circulator Review

bought this on amazon.The price was about the same as buying it locally.Oh wait, no, it was less than buying it locally, EVEN with shipping.The box came completely destroyed, so destroyed I was momentarily upset with my wife for signing for it.However, the product had not a scratch on it.Assembly was minimal and simple.My only concern is for how long it will last.To that point, I'm thinking the motor or belt will be the first to go and those are both relatively simple items to replace.Great price on a belt driven fan.

WHOAAAAA!!!!My original review commented on price vs local options.Not sure what happened to the price.(Noticed Amazon is no longer selling, but a 3rd party is).Maybe it's that famous Amazon majicalisness changeroo pricing.
